April 29, 2010I truly enjoy photographing newborns, I capture newborns between 1 week to 4-5 weeks old, singletons and twins (and occasionally some triplets). I was talking with a Mother the other day, about how we did not really photograph newborns, even 8 years ago (we both have 8 year olds) like we do today, and even when I started my business in 2003 it was just really starting.
We can truly thank Anne Geddes for her inspirational work, for not only does she photograph newborns, but she has an extraordinary vision. To be able to sell newborn pictures to the whole world, when it isn’t even their newborn~! Anne Geddes Website
Recently, some fellow photographers from the Midwest, have been doing wonderful work and have published a Newborn Sleeping book, of newborns in wonderful poses, asleep and at such peace. Tracy Raver :Tracy’s Website teams up with Kellye Ryden (Kelly’s website) to create wonderful images. They were recently on the Today show and their book has launched on Amazon.com , Sleeping Beauties: Newborns in Dreamland They are very inspirational, and creative and are doing a wonderful job communicating to the public the beauty of newborn photography.
